Steven Ding

Steven Ding was born and raised in Shanghai, China. In 2007, he came to the United States, and attended the Kelley School of Business of Indiana University - Indianapolis where he founded a student organization - Hip Hop Dance Crew in 2008. He began his journal of hip hop dance ever since. Under his two years of leadership, the organization grew from two individuals to over twenty active members, and hosted numerous dance events and performances. The organization was awarded to the title of "Large Student Organization of the Year" (highest award selected from 300+ student organizations) at the school. Its very own event - Battle Ground Zero (breaking & allstyle battle) has also been recognized as one of the most predominant hip hop dance events in the Mid-west area. After his graduation of 2010, Steven has stayed on the advisory broad of the student organization; and he has mentored the next generations of dancers and leaders in the group.

Shortly after he moved to New York City upon his graduation in 2010, he founded UniverSoul Entertainment to advance his career in the entertainment industry. Within a few years, Steven has made a significant presence in the New York hip hop dance community as a dancer and as a service provider including MC, dance performance and party/event organization. In addition, Steven founded an international dance crew - Scramble Eggs in the summer of 2011. The dance crew members have competed internationally in world-class events, and won many competitions. He has a vision of spreading the hip hop dance culture and the original NYC underground house dance scene through the rich worldwide dancer network based in New York City.
