Marlon Proverbs was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Since the age of 17 he has been gracing stages from New York to Miami with his choreography and excellent dancing abilities. He has also opened up for established music artists such as Trey Songz and Chris Brown. Marlon has choreographed multiple shows including Sybarite, Apollo Live, Showtime at the Apollo, and Culture Shock D.C and has taught overseas in Sweden and Morocco.

In between performances he teaches dance in inner city youth centers and has created his own dance company named ‘Dancin wit Proverbs’.  About 8 years ago he started his own dance crew named Str8iLL that has made a name for themselves in the dance industry.

Currently, Marlon is simultaneously building the Dancin wit Proverbs Company, one of the main choreographers of Ant Boogie's Urban Dance League training program and sub at Broadway Dance Center.

Moving forward Marlon wishes to tour more and expand his dance company into more city schools while create summer performing arts programs.
