Ashanti Mikeya Carter started her professional career when she was 19yrs of age. She started her training at the International dance academy, where she work studied and trained constantly 4days a week, 3-4 hours a day for 2yrs. Her dream is to accomplish touring around the world with many different artist dancers and Choreographers. As an aspiring artist she has gotten the opportunity to Choreograph, Teach, and dance in China, Thailand, Taiwan. The love that Ashanti has for dancing goes above and beyond. She has also gotten the opportunity to GoGo and freestyle at various night clubs in Las Vegas and all the local dance studios in Los Angeles. 

Freestyle dancing is what inspired Ashanti to come to the entertainment industry and strive for success. She has also had the honor and opportunity to train and study with some of the best, her training has lead her to consistently getting better at constantly showing her skills in all different types of dance styles  such as Hip hop, Popping, House, Waacking, Jazz Funk, Grooving and of course Freelance Freestyle. When Ashanti is not clowning around on the dance floor and giving an amazing show, she constantly trains in a class room setting to improve her skills. Her training has taken place at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, Millennium Dance Complex, Playground, and Movement lifestyle.

The passion that Ashanti shares for dancing and Music is unexplainable. Just to be able to have the ability to move her body in ways that can tell a story or inspire others is the reason why she keeps fighting and progressing to become a dynamic Artist. There are so many young girls and boys that would love to do what she has set out to do in her life that just did not have the courage to get up and do it, and she wants to someday be able to give back to the kids and teens and give them the courage to know that they can do whatever they want if they put their mind to it.  Her goal after being a dancer is to be a well known Choreographer/artistic director. Ashanti feels like the opportunities that she will gain from being in this industry and being able to travel to different countries will help her to become a better more humble person and have the knowledge she needs to keep going and appreciate the opportunities she is given.
